Cattus<\/strong> began to take shape in 2020, when I was dissatisfied with how I managed my cats' litter boxes\u2014I have two. I am a veterinarian, a cat lover, and I was using silica in a closed litter box, but it never seemed like a good solution: too much odor, high cost, and no environmentally friendly way to dispose of the waste. Until one day I thought: man is already sending live images and sounds from Mars... and I'm still struggling with a cat litter box? It made no sense. I needed to create something better.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the beginning, the idea wasn't to start a startup; I just wanted to solve my own problem with my cats' litter box. I wanted a litter box that worked with biodegradable litters from renewable sources.<\/p>

The first idea was simple: replace silica with wood pellets, but using a litter box designed for that purpose. I hired an architect to transform this idea into a 3D project, and that is how the Hygie Box was born. Hygie Box<\/strong>I took the project to the Secretary of Innovation of Porto Alegre\/RS, who is also a cat lover, to get a practical opinion, and he was direct: this needs to become a startup. And he said more\u2014I should participate in the Centelha\/RS Program.<\/strong><\/p>

That was when Cattus was truly born. We became a company, participated in the program, and were approved with the 2nd best overall score and 1st in physical products (design).<\/p>

Following our success at Centelha\/RS, we began moving through innovation hubs and were invited by Biopark<\/strong>, in Toledo\/PR, to join their incubation program.<\/p>

During this period, we were also approved for the Paran\u00e1 Anjo Inovador Program<\/strong> with the goal of bringing the Hygie Box to life and delivering it to cat lovers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

At that same time, we received a private investment of over R$ 1.2 million. This resource was directed toward infrastructure, team, research, development, and large-scale production.<\/p>

With that foundation, Cattus structured itself. Today, we are an active company with our own products, recurring revenue, and a portfolio of individual and corporate clients with high repurchase rates. This happens because we have earned the trust of very satisfied cat lovers.<\/p>

In the beginning, the plan was to manufacture only one litter box, but along the journey, we went further. We researched, developed, and launched our own litter brands: Yellow<\/strong>, and Biobloc<\/strong>, a plant-based additive for mineral litters. All of this while taking advantage of the high quality and low environmental impact of raw materials from the Paran\u00e1 agribusiness: corn and cassava. At the same time, we also developed the Cattus Scoop<\/strong>, designed specifically for this type of litter.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the advancement of Yellow, our line of biodegradable litters, and the strong acceptance from cat lovers, the Hygie Box itself evolved. It is no longer an exclusive litter box for wood pellets and now has versions compatible with clumping biodegradable litters.<\/p>

Today, the Hygie Box is modular and features four versions across two lines: Slim and Confort.<\/p>
